Inspired by The Purge : Anarchy & Celebration

I've been a long time fan of The Purge franchise.

As the fifth and final film 'The Forever Purge' releases, (conveniently after a year of social uprisings and a demand for justice) I am truly inspired by art imitating life and life imitating art in the form of film that I wanted to bring my own vision to life in a series of photos.

My inspiration goes as far as dressing up, special effects (physical and digital), and artistic integrity.

If you've watched The Purge, you know that March 21st is the date the annual Purge takes place in the movies timeline.  I chose to do this photography project during the weekend of 4th of July to have it align with the latest film release date.  As a horror movie and Halloween season lover, I challenged myself creatively to incorporate a little bit of scare in all holidays - not just Halloween.

This project would not have been possible with the help and support of Mom, Dad, and Edward.

Go check out The Forever Purge - in theaters everywhere July 2, 2021.
